Directory & Plant Buyer’s Guide
A listing of all members and their business classification is published
in a directory. Other information includes officers, committees,
related associations, bylaws, and Idaho Department of Agriculture
contacts. The Plant Buyer’s Guide is a listing of members
who sell plant material. It is handed out at trade shows and mailed
upon request to prospective buyers, serving as a powerful advertising
tool for your company.

Legislative Representation
The INLA coordinates grass roots lobbying efforts when needed, at
the state level, for legislation favoring the green industry in
Idaho. The legislative committee and executive director represent
the INLA through personal contacts and letter writing and by attending
legislative functions. On a national level, the INLA works with
the American Nursery and Landscape Association.

Certification Program
INLA certification programs acknowledge individuals as trained professionals
with expertise in their specific green industry segment. Through
these programs the public will be made aware of the high level of
knowledge obtaining these certifications requires. Visit the following

Idaho State Nursery Advisory Council
Each year, the Idaho State Department of Agriculture,
Nursery and Florist Advisory Committee (ISDA), awards
financial grants to support research that would benefit
the Idaho nursery and floral industry. The INLA research committee
submits a list of suggested projects which is included with the
call for proposals, and has the opportunity to make recommendations
for the awarding of grants.
Conventions, Seminars & Tours :
The INLA holds The Idaho Horticulture Expo each
January in Boise, Idaho. Nationally recognized experts are invited
to address a wide range of topics covering horticulture, arboriculture,
landscape maintenance and construction, floriculture and business
management interests. A trade show featuring over 150 booths is
held in conjunction with the annual convention. During local chapter
events, seminars on subjects of special interest to the area are
conducted. Members receive significant discounts on seminars &
trade shows.

Scholarship
Program offered by the INLA
Each year at the Idaho Horticulture Expo, the INLA
announces the winners of the Scholastic Awards. Each year at least
one $750 scholarship is announced at the Awards Luncheon. These
awards are available to any student enrolled in an accredited two
or four-year program in the state of Idaho and whose declared major
is in a field within the Green Industry. Scholarship awards will
be based on scholastic record, as well as the student's ability
and sincereity in pursuing employment in the Green Industry. The
purpose of this program is to encourage the study of horticulture,
floriculture, plant pathology, landscape design, turfgrass management,
botant and other subjects that pertain to the Green Industry.
