The Tree Climber & Arborist position is in involved in
all aspects of tree climbing, trimming and removal.
Qualifications:
* 1 year of experience in tree climbing, trimming and removal
* Must understand pruning techniques for trees and shrubs
* Must have experience in dealing directly with clients, customer
service skills are important
* Must understand safety procedures and roping techniques
* Must be able to read communicate effectively in English
* Must have experience operating a truck, trailer and chipper
setup safely
* Performs all required ground, climbing, and aerial lift duties
in support of specific job assignments, as directed by crew
leader or designated supervisor
* Learns to identify the basic trees and shrubs common to the
service area
* Develops a basic understanding of tree growth
* Demonstrates sound tree risk assessment skills
* Demonstrates equipment inspection skills
* Demonstrates proper application of approved knots
* Demonstrates and practices proper rigging techniques
* Assists with driving, backing, dumping, and parking duties
* Follows directions from the crew leader or designated supervisor
* Learns, understands, and adheres to all safety rules and
company safety policies
* Participates in all safety training sessions offered, asks
questions, and improves job safety skills
* Communicates well with all crew members and crew leader
* Strives to improve job skills and develop the potential for
upward mobility
* Must have a positive attitude and be willing to learn all
other aspects of Landscape Management.
Compensation & Benefits:
$12.5- $13.50/ Hr per hour DOE. Full time with opportunity

Landscape Enhancement/ Construction
Manager at Summer Lawns
Install and Manage Residential and Commercial landscape and
irrigation construction/ renovation projects. Types of projects
could be: plantings, paver patios, irrigation systems, water
features, excavation, tree removal, and a variety of landscapes,
hardscapes, waterscapes, etc. Work with Landscape Construction
Department head in proactively providing proposals to existing
and prospective clientele. Responsible for meeting Budgets,
Schedules and meeting Monthly and Quarterly Revenue Expectations
and Goals. Responsible for accurate and complete billing information,
must be thorough and complete. Responsible for the Management
of All Nursery Stock in the Nursery. Ensure proper Irrigation,
fertilization, digging and overall propagation.
Qualifications:
* This position requires this person to Multi-task and work
in a fast paced environment.
* A must Self Starter, Strong work ethic and excellent customer
service skills and experience
* Bilingual (Spanish) on at least a basic level is a must
* 5 - 7 years of Experience as a Technician and Foreman.
* Prefer College Degree in Horticulture, Agriculture, Architecture
or related field. Prefer Certifications (PLANET) as a Landscape
Technician (CLT).
