Nursery and Florist Advisory Council
In 1999 The Idaho Department of Agriculture began collecting an
estimated $36,000 per year from a twenty five dollar per year fee
from the Nursery and Florist licensees for research purposes.
Research is solicited from two-year schools and vocational programs,
four-year colleges, universities, including campus, research and
extension centers, non-profit organizations, private interests and
companies.
Research proposals must be on projects of interest to the green
industry in the inland mountain region. Priority will be given to
research projects suggested by a survey of all licensed nurseries
and florists in Idaho.
